Working at Heights

As of April 1, 2015 there is a new training requirement for any worker working on heights or who use any of the following methods of fall protection:

  • Travel restraint systems
  • Fall restricting systems
  • Safety nets
  • Work belts or safety belts

This program is recognized by the Ministry of Labour.

This course will consist of the following components:

  • Law and regulations
  • How to recognize, assess and control fall hazards
  • Fall prevention and fall protection
  • Fall-arrest equipment and components

Upon successful completion the participant will recognize

  • Fall hazards
  • Apply the right controls
  • Understand how to work at heights safely and in compliance with Ontario regulatory requirements
  • Know their rights and responsibilities under the Occupational Health and Safety Act

Who Should Attend:
Managers, supervisors, workers, safety representatives and members of the Joint Health & Safety Committee.

  • Hands On-Assessment

Duration: 1 Day – Wednesday April 12, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
