Curriculum Design Manager

Doug Hart has been with Durham College since 1995 and has been a key contributor to the organization's growth. His areas of expertise include Organizational Diagnostics, Customer Experience Management, Implementation Strategies, Management development and Curriculum Design. Clients value his ability to see into an organization's culture and identify the abstract inhibitors of ideal front-line staff behaviours. Doug is brought into projects where the client's goal is to align their corporate values and strategic plan into visible behaviours among the managers and front line staff. Doug has designed and delivered national training programs for some of Canada's largest organizations including Revera Health Care, Chevrolet, Saturn, Cadillac, Saab, Canadian Tire, Hyundai Auto Canada.

As the Training designer for the OPG Nuclear Construction Supervisory Academy, Doug was responsible for designing all participant and instructor materials.

Program Manager

Alana is your point of contact for all of your technical and custom training needs.

Whether you are interested in forklift training, Working at Heights or Heavy Equipment Operator license, Alana will guide you to the right program that fits your individual and company needs. All programs can be customized with training offered at our site or yours. With over 19 years in the education field, including 10 years with Durham Continuing Education's LINC/ESL department, Alana has played an integral role in assisting new Canadians in resettling in The Durham Region through partnerships with local businesses and organizations. Skilled in program delivery, coordination and community building, Alana will provide you or your business with client-driven professional results.

Andrew Scuse

Custom Solutions Manager

In his current role in the Corporate Training Division of Durham College, Andrew is accountable for providing innovative training solutions to address the needs of the business community. Andrew works with organizations to design programs from the ground up that will engage participants and provide the practical skills they need.

Andrew joined Durham College in 2005 as the project manager for a National corporate e-learning initiative. His role involved the preparation and quality control of training materials as well as scheduling of production, budgeting and client communication. In addition to this work, Andrew has managed curriculum development projects for many clients in the public, private and non profit sectors including, The MEARIE Group, Ontario Lottery and Gaming, General Motors of Canada, Hyundai Canada and Ontario Power Generation. Andrew brings a strong commitment to client service and needs analysis into every project.

Marie Sullivan

Community Partnership Coordinator

Marie has been with Durham College Corporate Training Services since 2012. Marie came to Durham College after a lengthy career as the Administrative Assistant to middle management within Bell Canada. She is currently involved in the administration of many of our national corporate training projects for clients including General Motors, Hyundai Canada and Ontario Power Generation.

Marie cultivates the important relationships with our external industry partners who collaborate with us to provide employment opportunities for our students.

Caroline Badek

Testing Coordinator

Durham College was lucky to have Caroline join the Corporate Training Services team in 2015 to manage and administer Corporate and Licensing programs. She completed her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Guelph and then directed her talents to the Fashion Industry in Toronto. With Corporate Training Services, she has actively taken on the pursuit of broadening their location as a testing site.

Mike Olsen

Instructor, Driver Training

Mike has been with Durham College Corporate Training services since 2009 in which he obtained his Fleet Driver Training Certificate in 2012. This enables him to be a signing authority for the MTO. Mike's driving experience; which consists of over 1 million accident free logged miles and along with his fleet maintenance experience expands his knowledge of the transportation industry allowing him to pass along firsthand knowledge that benefits the students while achieving their goals. From teaching air brake courses to one on one in cab lessons to conducting road tests, Mike's goal is to prepare his students for a new career ahead of them.

Shawn Hall

Program Manager, General Motors Projects

Shawn has been with Durham College Corporate Training Services for over 25 years as a Program Manager. Shawn leads day-to-day administration of the General Motors training program. These responsibilities range from video script management and graphic creation to training vehicle management / logistics.

Account Assistant - General Motors Projects

Mandy joined Durham College in January of 2019 to support the General Motors account in the areas of tracking, reporting and preparing various training materials for the GM Retail Training team and Dealerships. Mandy brings a wealth of experience having spent 22 years working in various roles within Marketing at General Motors of Canada.

Tina Komel

Administrative Assistant

Recognized as an Alumni of Distinction, Tina has been with the college since 1998. Of her many roles, she has been a part-time instructor in Early Childhood Education and administrative support in Continuing Education as well as with Registration. Corporate Training Services is now where Tina brings her organizational skills to support Testing Services and the General Motors training team.

Multimedia Specialist

Kalvin joined the Corporate Training Services team in 2018, and primarily creates video content for the General Motors training program. He is responsible for the planning, shooting, and post production of anything moving or still. Kalvin brings a range of multimedia skills from his experience working both in corporate environments and with a variety of freelance clients.

Corporate e-Learn Project Manager

Jacob is in charge of developing and project managing e-Learns at Corporate Training Services. Jacob looks to create dynamic and engaging e-Learns, for CTS's clients, through fun and interactive video learning.
