CRAN 1600 P - Overhead Crane Training
Course Description
This program is geared for individuals who operate an Overhead Crane (Class B: Light Service) in warehouses, light fabrication or repair facilities. The program will consist of 6 hours theory and 2 hours hands-on. Theory includes: types of rigging, slings, load weight calculations, log book, power to the crane, power to the bridge, crane controls, inching a load, summary of crane movements, hoist, bridge, trolley and overhead crane lockout.
The hands-on will be done on an Overhead Electric Crane. This training is acceptable proof of training as per the Industrial Safety Act and upon successful completion students will receive a certificate and wallet card.
Prerequisites
Required safety equipment: safety boots, glasses and work gloves.
